Minister (Howard Road congregation) - Stuart Wood
Stuart has been the Minister at Barnwell Baptist Church since 1st September 2004 (half-time for the first 3 years until September 2007 while continuing at St Andrew's Street Baptist Church, where he had been since October 1996). He is married to Hayley, who together have four sons - Kieran (married to Zoe), Curtis (married to Ella), Jordan and Corban. He loves sport, films and reading, and enjoys serving the Church and wider community. He does this in a number of ways: -

  • Chaplaincy - he served as Club Chaplain at Cambridge United FC from July 2005 - June 2017, and has recently just returned to serve as 1st team Chaplain; he has been Chaplain for the Cambridge base of the East Anglian Air Ambulance since July 2019; and as part of a team, is Chaplain for Peasgood and Skeates Funeral Directors in Cambridge
  • Schools - He has been a Governor at Fen Ditton CP School since November 2008, and has served as Chair of Governors since September 2019; He is Chair of Governors at Marleigh Primary Academy and a Trustee at See Saw Pre-School
He is passionate about churches serving in unity and is, and has been, very involved in drawing Church leaders together across the City.

Planning your Visit

Sunday Services

 

The church meets every Sunday at 10.30am for our Sunday Service. It helps to get there 15 minutes early to get a parking spot and seat in time for the service to start.

We ask that everyone attending our services wears a face mask when moving around the church. Once you are seated you are free to remove it. Thank you.


We meet at the church building.

You can expect a warm welcome, great worship, an impacting preach and a friendly bunch of people gathering to learn more about God. 

 

Tea, Coffee & Biscuits!


After the main meeting finishes there will an be opportunity for prayer if needed. There is tea, coffee and biscuits served in the church hall.
