What to Expect?

Our Welcome Team will greet you when you arrive. They’ll be happy to answer any questions and will show you into the main hall. You’re free to sit wherever you like.

The service varies slightly from week to week but generally these are the elements you can expect: -

  • Notices about forthcoming events and any significant Church news.
  • A time of singing - we hope you’ll feel comfortable to join in, but if not please feel free to just listen if this is new to you.
  • Prayers which will be led from the front, but occasionally people in the congregation will be invited to lead in prayer as well.
  • A talk (often called a sermon) which lasts for between 25 and 30 minutes. The sermon will include a reading (or readings) from the Bible with an explanation of what it means and how it is relevant to our everyday lives.
  • A final song and prayer.

There are always team members available afterwards to answer questions or pray for you if you would like them to.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are served after the service and this is a great opportunity to meet people and ask more questions.

Do I have to join in?
You are free to simply observe or participate in as much as feels comfortable for you.

Is there a dress code?

Definitely not… Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

What's available for children and young people?

A creche is available for children aged 1 – 4.

There’s a program of activities for school-aged children and youth that runs during the second part of the Sunday morning service. We encourage children and young people to join with the rest of the Church to sing and pray at the beginning of the service.
